You see, Cultural Competence is about much more than going to cultural events and eating different foods. it's also calls for learning about the Dynamics of Difference.

We live in a world of differences and we must learn how to navigate through this world, unlike a bull in a glass store. Cultural Proficiency has tools to help remove barriers and promote a way of being that allow us to successfully navigate in a society where the "Macroculture" is dominant--like this, the Democratic Republic of the United States of American. Even as I speak today, we are becoming much better beings than we were before.

Whether we are talking about the world, nations, organizations, or individuals, our past choices and decision have unfolded into the present. Our present choices and decisions will certainly guide our futures. Let's try really, really hard y'all, to be Culturally Proficient going forward--FOR THE COMMON GOOD.
